Tabbed Docks ---> Package/Save Theme

Hey hey!

I have Object Dock 1.3 Plus! I bought a nem Computer and now this Problem show up.

I am not able to save or package my themes correctly. Everytime i load a saved theme or click on a packaged theme to load this one, Objectdock ONLY loads the normal Docks with my individual content. But the Tabbed Docks doesn't show. And if i package a theme, it shows me that it has only 6 or 7 kbytes but in the past my tabbed docks had like 800 kbytes.

As i had my old Computer with a Athlon XP everything was fine but now i have a Athlon 64 and i this problem comes. I installed Windows new, because i got this new pc with a new HardDisk but it is still the same Windows version and i exactly installed it like before.

So ... WHATS GOING ON???

I hope you can help me ... greetz

Strange. Do you still have access to your old computer and the files on it? If so, I would backup up the theme .ini files. (C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock\Themes) I was confused if you had tried to save a new theme on the new install of windows. Does this open correctly? If not, I would download SDC and re-install ObjectDock Plus.

Thx for Answer!

No, i sold my old Computer on ebay ^^. And I didn't speak about my old themes because i didn't backup them. So the Problem is if i save or package a theme on my new computer with the new windows install and try to load this, Object dock doesn't do this. Like explained before, it just load the Normal Dock/s with my own content. But the Tabbed Docks are completely away.

Hmmm, that is strange. The only other thing I can think of is the advanced options of the Packaged Theme option.

Open dock settings > General Tab > select Package Theme > when this window opens, click the Advanced button > make sure you have "Package the Entire Dock and All it's settings" checked > name the dock and click yes to save it.

If that doesn't work, I would contact support@stardock.com to obtain further assistance.

Hey hey!

I made a very strange experience today!

I found a older version of Objectdock. 1.15!!!

I installed this and the first thing was ... LOL Oo?

With this version, all things works. Tabbed docks, save and package theme. How can be this? Black Wizardy? Then i packaged a theme with the 1.15 version and installed the 1.30. I was able to load the packaged theme BUT THIS theme i'v made with the 1.15 version. OMG .... So .. it seems i must use the 1.15 version. Are there many differents between the 1.30 and 1.15 ???

Predator200:

Glad you finally got it to work.
There are quite a few changes from 1.15 to 1.30.22. Actually, the history.txt doesn't even list 1.15. It jumps from 1.11 - 1.20 - 1.30. So obviously, there were some minor changes you will be without.

Before you installed the old version, did you check the advanced options dialog that I stated in my last response?
