Agreed, radicalism on the left can provoke radicalism on the right. But the protests have been, by and large, peaceful and the reaction appropriate. Are you then saying that there should be no civil protests, a cornerstone of both the British and the American way, because the Cossacks might come forth?
Historically, using Greece under the generals and Hitlerist Germany as examples, when the Fascists want an incident to justify their reaction, they manufacture one. "Inevitably something is thrown, a policeman is jabbed with a broken bottle, something is set on fire, stores are looted." And who is to say that the fire was not started by a plant, a provacateur?
