A few more turns wont hurt!?!?!?!?!

I lost my wife, my children, my car, my house, and soon enough my laptop all because whenever I tried to quit playing GalCiv2 it told me a few more turns wouldn't hurt. Now I am out on the streets begging people to let me charge up my lap top battery in their house so I can play more.

jk of course... but that little message makes me feel guilty about quitting sometimes.

Need an example? It is 2 in the morning here and I gotta get up early. Damn! I finally saved my current game and quit. All is looking well too.

Quiting at only 2am?

Wimp.

A few more turns... er, hours, couldn't hurt.

hahaha, all this cracks me up! obviously because i can relate 'what does it matter what im doing if youre busy with something else?'...it matters guys, it matters. ive yet to solve this reoccuring problem and the 'if you love me' bit definately doesnt work for me. if only it was as simple as a mini soldier invasion of an alien world...

I get around this to some degree by getting up at 2AM so I can get a couple of hours in without grief.

This game has among the best "just one more turn" mojos out there. Its part of the magic they captured including the balance between simplicity and level of detail.

A few more turns will hurt if you end up getting bedsores from sitting in front of the computer too long.

I hate that damn little message when you are going to get off the game, " a few more turns won't hurt"!

Yea, hehe, this game is highly addictive and they know it, they taunt us with that message...those developers are just real cards.

So don't quit - just get up and walk away for a while - like to go to bed, or work, etc. Not really any difference than falling asleep at the keyborad....
