Random JU Bloggers and the Movie Titles that Describe them

Past & Present......are YOU Listed?

In random order...whoever came to mind at the moment. Most are self-explanatory. Some aren't. Ask if you don't get it.

1. Col Gene----"Enemy of the State" (or maybe "Groundhog Day", 'cause it's always the same thing, over and over and over.....)

2. Dr. Guy----This was easy..."Trekkies".

3. Myrrander----"Huff" (okay, "Huff" is a TV show on HBO, I think....or Showtime, maybe, but it was too good a shot not to take.) Maybe "Red Dragon"? "Red Dawn"?

4. Reiki-House----"LOTR: The Two Towers", or maybe "Holocaust". Perhaps "Triumph of the Will"? (for neophytes, R-H was our resident 9/11 conspiracy theorist, as well as a Nazi apologist and Holocaust revisionist. Anyone remember the "pool" at Auschwitz?)

5. Rightwinger----"The Man Who Knew Too Little", maybe "Revenge of the Nerds".

6. Tex W.---- "Blue Hawaii"

7. Shadowar----"The War Wagon", "Sgt. York"

8. Gerlyn Valembrun----"Chicken Run"

9. Little Whip (and her Emperor)----"The Wild Bunch", "Bonnie and Clyde"

10. Moderate Man----"Revenge of the Sith"

11. Marvin Cooley----"One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"

12. Draginol----"Wargames"

13. Bakerstreet----"The Punisher"

14. Kingbee----"Pride and Predudice"

15. Dabe----"Yentl"

16. Gideon Macleish----"The Family Man"

17. drmiler----"Flashdance" (it's a 'Burgh thing), or maybe even "Smokey and the Bandit"

18. Dharmagirl----"Little Buddha"

19. cactoblasta----"Quigley Down Under", or "The Adventures of Pricilla, Queen of the Desert"

20. Bahu Virupaksha----"The Phantom Empire" or "The Phantom Menace". Either would do as well.

No insults intended. All in good fun.

What's Quigley Down Under about? As for Priscilla I can honestly say I've never worn a dress in my life, let alone make-up. That happens to other people.

It's been a few, but Tom Selleck plays a cowboy who takes a job in Australia. Action and hilarity ensues.
As for "Priscilla", I just liked the title, and knew it was an Aussie flick. No biggie. Hey, it was 2AM here! Whattaya want?

Sorry; I guess I should have added that I kind of see you as a cowboy figure, inso far as you don't take crap from people.
You know where you stand on certain things, and you'll put up your dukes in the saloon if someone badmouths you of something you believe in. Quigley was a standup guy.

I wasn't taking offence. I've never pictured myself as a cowboy - I greatly dislike those parts of the world which aren't urban or beaches - but it's not necessarily a bad thing. I think I'll give the gun fetish a miss though.

On a sidetrack I really like that phrase 'hilarity ensues'. It doesn't get used nearly enough in the average film write-up.

Thanks for putting me on the list. I prefer Phantom Empire.

Definitely Smokey and the Bandit for DrMiler.

And I cant argue with mine!

Which one of us gets to play Bonnie? I think it should be me, (naturally) but Simon argues that He looks better in heels and hose.

Well, thanks alot for that image; now I have to get rid of it by looking at something less offensive.
Excuse me for a couple days while I go and stare at some pictures of diseased vaginas or maybe a few dead babies.

Thanks for putting me on the list. I prefer Phantom Empire.
----Bahu

My pleasure. I thought you might prefer that one, but it's a less well-known movie. It was out in the 30s, I think; seems to me it was either a Flash Gordon or Buck Rogers serial.

Well, allow me to review the first post of yours I ever read:
"....I read the poster's overly sarcastic, often much-too-serious comments, and was pleased to find that, in no time at all, hilarity ensues."

Definitely Smokey and the Bandit for DrMiler.

---Dr. Guy

I hope he reads this....we can get his input. And yes, Doc, that was the only film that came to mind for you.

Oh, wait...I remember! "The Phantom Empire" was Gene Autry serial! The Singing Cowboy meets sci-fi!

haha! Thanks, I'm flattered!

I would like to get my hands on Keanu Reeves.....very yummy.

Thats harsh, dude. He's actually quite pretty once He shaves.

I'll have to take your word for it. I make a beautiful woman, myself, and have the pics to prove it.
One Halloween, The Wife dressed me up as a woman, complete with TP-boobs consisting of about four complete rolls (unwound, natch) stuffed into one of her old bras (and she's....er....let's just say VERY "well endowed" in that area), heels (I'll never do that again), fishnet stockings, makeup, nails, a blonde wig and a pink feather boa.
If it hadn't been for my not shaving my beard, pits or legs, I'd have given the best drag queen a run for his/her/it's money.

I told people I was supposed to be a Russian woman.

You're very welcome.

Myself, I'm partial to Carrie Ann Moss ("Trinity" in the "The Matrix" movies and Charlize Theron (his costar in "Sweet Novemeber"). Preferably at the same time!

If I can ever find them, okay. Not sure just where they are at the moment.

Well I SEE there is no Tova on the list. Hmmmm.

Does that mean I am so friggin boring you've never sat through me......or so frigging awesome they just don't have the technology to make me yet?

I really enjoyed the list. Though I've never seen the Punisher. Just the title makes me wonder why you picked that for Baker? I'd def pick his Avatar. Sherlock Holmes.

LW and EMP...hehe. "Natural Born Killers" Bonnie and Clyde....too black and white .....

Ah, I CRACK myself up!

Actually, it's ironic that you post this. All kidding aside, you were the only one I thought of that stumped me. I couldn't come up with a thing, stretchy and lame OR accurate.

YES!

I really enjoyed the list.

(Bows to all points) Thankyou,thankyouverramuch.....youbeenawunderfulaudience...gladyalikedtheshow....

Though I've never seen the Punisher.

Awesome flick....just make sure you get the right one. Rent the one that came out in 2004 with Thomas Jane and John Travolta. Don't get the 1989 ('90?) one with Dolph Lungren. Stinky-poo-yucky, especially for Punisher purists like me.

Personal reasons....we got into it a few times about the American "culture". I disagreed with him, and suffered the punishing Wrath of Baker. I've seen him do it to others, too. He can be quite the noodge when he wants to be.

Ah, I CRACK myself up!

Doesn't sound TOO awful hard.....

Ok I like John. Always have since GREASE!

you were the only one I thought of that stumped m

Yeah well me too. I can't think of one movie title that describes me either.

And the movies I LOVE TO WATCH...are like, well, Chronicles of Riddick. That movie just speaks to me on SO many levels. I love every single character in it, the cinematography, the dialog, the names Furian and Necromancer......and the muscles. Gotta love those muscles! I never get tired of watching it, ever.

Best line ever...."YOU KEEP WHAT YOU KILL."

I know, I know. Get some culture.

It's one of the few chick flicks I really enjoy. I have it and the soundtrack, both. When I bought them, it made my wife question my heterosexuality.+LOL+

Wellll....maybe next time. I'm sorry.

well I'd probably pick.....Passion of the Christ....

Yeah, that one would definitely work for you.
Or maybe "The Bible". John Huston was good as Noah, and George C. Scott was cool as Abraham. And Peter O'Toole as one of the angels sent to save Lot and his family. Good movie.
