Help!

After changing the theme it doesnt go completly back to the original xp theme

Well after changing themes from the windows Xp theme. Whenever I try to change back to the orginal windows XP theme (The default theme that comes with Windows XP) it changes back to a classic Windows Theme not the Windows XP theme.

Please help as it has changed the theme of other users that had it on the Windows XP theme to the classic windows Theme

Ohk after a while ive now re assessed the situation.

One account uses windowblinds and works fine and the others dont. Now when I log out of that account that uses blinds and go into an account that doesnt use it (Theme set to default XP theme) shows a classic windows theme. When I log out and then back in its fine.

Anyone know what is causing this?

Make sure you have WindoBlinds unloaded on the account with the default luna (Right-click the WB icon in the system tray and select unload windowblinds).

I have never had any cross account problems with WindowBlinds. That is, each account (on my system) seems to act seperate from one another.

I would advise you (if you had WindowBlinds loaded on the default account at one time) to load Windowblinds in the account you want to change back to the default luna. Once done, apply the Windows XP style skin. After this is done, even if the skin did not apply (it applied the classic), unload Windowblinds. Now, once unloaded, right-click the desktop and select properties. Now select the appearance tab, and select the Windows XP style under the drop-down menu. Click apply, then ok. Now Reboot. Once logged back into your account, you should be running the default luna.

I've had the same problem your having. I've found it's not really a problem, but an irritation because it requires you to reboot (well only if Windowblinds didn't apply the default Windows XP style) to obtain the default luna. Don't worry, though. If you have any more questions, just post and someone will assist you shortly.

Ohk thank you.

I have also found that it only happens on the first account that I log into when I log out of an account that uses it. By Logging out and Logging Back in its fine again.

Is there anyway of stoping this happen as windows blinds donest load on any of the accounts except for the one that it is used on. But it still sets to a classic windows theme instead of the luna theme.

Hmmmm. Well, let me first ask, and by no way, shape, or form become offended by this. But are you running a purchased (licensed) version of WindowBlinds, a trial version of WindowBlinds or a pirated version of WindowBlinds?

As for your problem, I would uninstall WindowBlinds via Stardock Central. Link here -> Stardock Central Download. Once you have uninstalled Windowblinds, you should be able to revert back to the default Windows XP Style skin on all users via Display Properties > Appearance Tab. Remember, you should reboot after every change.

Now, once you have returned to the luna, log into the account you want to run WindowBlinds on and install it via Stardock Central (assuming the account has administrator access). This should set you right.

I appologize for these responses. Normally I would never respond under the Stardock Support section. I, however, did not read the post section heading until after my second post. Anyway, I humbly appologize for the intrusion.

It was only a trial version as I wanted to try it out first. But the program seems to have bugs as it crashed my system twice, which seeing as I have a recently formatted and updated drivers shows that there is something with the code (Hopefully just with the trail version)

But then again at the low price of I think $20 it wouldnt matter to much if I do buy it

Wo I just looked at the deviainart windowblinds and they are great Looks like I need to find 20USD. But first one question, is it known for the full version of windowblinds to do the same thing as what the trial has done to me (not loading the luna when I switch to a luna using account) and if so is there a fix for it?

I've been running WB 3 yrs with no issues changing any skins on any accounts.

I've since WB 2.x, felt like playing russian roulette whenever unloading Windowblinds. Sometimes it won't unload gracefully - crashing explorer. Sometimes leave pitch black bitmaps or unload but refuse to load, unless I toggle back and forth between Visual Styles and classic and try again.

I have the same problem.

Brand new CD(OD 2007), I change back to the Original XP appearance and it changes to Win. Classic. One desktop, no switching. When I go to display prop. the Orig. XP theme does not even show up in the preview window.

Did I just throw away $55. on a buggy junky program? ..likely

If I just unload WB, it reverts to 'classic' but calls it 'modified' in display properties. I can put it back to XP via the drop down.

How are you changing back? via WB configure or unloading or ?

Your dates are off. You need to update your version through Stardock Central.

It seems highly unlikely that a company could stay in business very long selling "buggy junky" software.

As Lantec said your dates are off and should be updated with the latest release through Stardock Central. If you still have issues it may be best to contact support@stardock.com for assistance as well as posting here for other users to try and help you.

I just bought this disc. and got it in the mail yesterday. Why is Stardock selling an OUT-DATED product called "Object Desktop 2007"? I looked at the updates and there are way too many for a Product called 2007. How about Stardock UPDATE ITS OWN PRODUCT?

It wont reset through WB or Windows display properties.

Some of your dates make it appear you may have run a trial (or possibly cracked) version prior to the purchase - if so, did you fully uninstall, wipe out all remnants and reboot first?

I've run 4yrs w/o probs...minor glitches now and then, mostly attributable to my own PC-building abilities at the time.
Technicolor, Clean up your files and reinstall. It'll run like a BMW.
