Start Button Help

Not showing up when skin applied

Hello

I'm not really to familiar with skinny but I've started a basic windows skin just for fun. Basically my problem is that when I apply the skin to my system to test it, the start button doesn't work properly.

It should be the same size/shape as the standard windows xp one since I used that as a guide but instead when the skin is applied, I get a start button that looks like that old win 98< start button, only its white and says start. (the color of the one I made was white but it didn't say start)

Try setting Windows Paint Flag in the Start Button settings to disabled.

Well, I really wanted to save myself from sounding like an idiot .... but ... I really don't know how to do that.

Open your skin in SkinStudio > under the Explorer Tab expand Taskbar > now select (highlight) the "Star Button" option > now in the far right hand window, under the section tab, there is an option directly under the "Start Button Image" it says "Windows Paint the Flag" this is the option Cavan1 is refering to. Select it, and in the lower middle part of the SS window there's the VALUE drop-down list, select disable.

Just what does enabling "Windows Paint the Flag" do, exactly? And how'd it get such a helpfully descriptive name?

It Paints the Windows flag and default start text on start button.
