Dark Avatar Mass Drivers question

Will they be availible in systems w/o asteroids?

Since in Dark Avatar asteroids are being implemented, it seems pertinent to ask whether Mass Drivers will be available as an invasion tactic if a system is without some.

The mass drivers tactic will most likely still be available everywhere (would take extra coding to filter it out, and I doubt it even crossed anyone's mind yet).
ObjectDock - Access shortcuts and frequently used applications from an animated dock.

Its unrealistic to believe that a system is devoid of asteroids. Even if it doesn't have an actual asteroid belt, it would still have a few floating around.

It is an interesting idea that invasion tactics may become available/unavailable based on the local 'terrain' though...

I hope the Mass Drivers mounted on ships and starbases will be changed to look more like projectile weapons... instead of slow, floaty blobs that actually slow down before they hit the target!


HINT to devs: think modern day firearms as a good example for a mass driver.
