The game's interface is almost completely made (and moddable with) Stardock's DesktopX: https://www.stardock.com/products/desktopx/.

As to the models, there are no programs for editing X models directly, however there are X format exporters available for most major 3d modelling applications (3d Studio Max, Maya, Blender, etc).

Thank you very much. I have not had much luck with desktop x. But I'll try it again.

that is not true, Blender can import .X files! I did it, with Blender

Last I checked the Blender X import was so buggy as to be pointless, but YMMV.

I tried dexktop x But when it loads all the text is out of alingment and I can only move things not change what they look like. Do I need the full version of desktop X?

P.S. What does YMMV mean?

You should be able to edit the screens with the free version, but it does seem to take some learning and adjusting. Not everything will look quite right in the editor since it's full of variables and scripts that interact with the actual game code.

P.S. What does YMMV mean?

Your Mileage May Vary.

Maybe someday

Senator is good enough for my work for now. In fact most SD employees not involved with GC2 only have Governor rank here (such as GreenReaper).

It's a total change, you joined the Diplomats, you changed your pic, you gonna be an Avater... change is a good thing! you gonna post some games to the metaverse too? making your way to the top?

what a thing, from a post about "Can I get some information" it turned into "Ask Kryo"

My main character is still in the Jedi Republic, for whatever that's worth. I just switched the default to one of my 'spares' and moved it from the overmind to the Diplomats. (FYI, I helped Darth Griffin first set up his website a few years ago and did a lot of work over there, but none lately... never joined the diplomats though)

you changed your pic

Figure this was as good a time as any to make a new avatar up. The old one was six years old and pretty poor quality.

you gonna be an Avater

*Maybe*, someday, like I said. It's not neccessary right now though, so probably not.

you gonna post some games to the metaverse too

Nah, I prefer to play with mods myself.

It may be hard to believe but I was once a lowly new player who came to the forum with a bug. I made Veteran rank in the GC1 days due to some community involvement and modding, but I was never a big poster. Stayed a Veteran until the GC2 beta, where me work gained me Diplomat, then Ambassador. Answered the call (put out only to those already Diplomat and above) for moderators and got Governor. Then made Senator a couple of months ago in order to moderate the library as well, and now finally a stardockian
