GPU troubleshooting + some ingame issues

Possible solution for nVidia and ATI gpu users + some gameplay recommendings

GPU troubleshooting:

Many of you are having issues with your graphic cards and most of the time one tells you to update your drivers. I'm not saying you shouldn't but if you do, do it in a clean way as old drivers might still affect your system.
This is especially for nVidia and ATI gpu's:

1) download the latest driver but don't install yet
2) download drivercleaner pro and read the readme file (freeware)
3) install drivercleaner, don't run it
4) go to the properties of 'this computer' and open the hardware page
5) find your graphics card in the list, right click it and choose 'remove hardware'. Don't shut it down but REMOVE it totally.
6) restart system in Safe Mode (hit F8 on startup)
7) if a window appears telling you new hardware is found, ignore it and click cancel. If your system installs your gpu automatically, repeat 4) and 5)
8) run Driver Cleaner, choose 'Tools' in the menu and click 'Cab cleaner'
9) go back to driver cleaner using the menu, select your gpu branch in the drop-down menu and clean. Close Driver Cleaner
10) empty your bin
11) install the driver you downloaded

If you're still having graphic issues, don't blame it on the driver because it is clean now (you may want to use nVidia forceware. Google for that)

@ developers:

Maybe these are already mentioned but still I have some minor ingame issues that might need your attention while working on a patch:
- freighters already trading can't be upgraded
- no difference between 'Arnorian Armor' and the armor researched before (dunno it's name, shame on me). Arnorian armor is more expensive, that's all.

I told ya they are minor

Freighters that have already established trade routes always move at 1 tile per turn, regardless of what engines it may have on it. As such, there's really no point in upgrading them.

Also, the Arnorian Armor is twice as strong as its Tri-Strontium prerequisite (6 vs 3 absorbsion, respectively) and has a lower base size (4 with 4% sizemod, vs 7 with 3% sizemod, respectively).

Lastly, ATI's Catalyst Uninstaller should completely remove both the Catalyst Driver and the Catalyst Control Center from your system, allowing for a clean reinstallation of any Radeon graphics card. It'd probably be smart to look for someone else's opinion regarding its actual effectiveness in that task, though.

And Nvidia's uninstaller works just fine as well.
Just remove the driver from Add/Remove Programs, reboot, cancel the New Hardware Found dialog and install the new driver.

The bug reports should have been made separately so that they are easier to find.

ya, my bad.

But I was wrong about the armor and the freighters can be upgraded (shields, weaponry) individually, not all types at the same time for which I don't care about since there are not many to upgrade.
So pretend I never said those things

I can ensure you that upgrading drivers often makes the system become instable. And it's not for nothing Driver Cleaner was originally made for nVidia (GeForce) and ATI users.
Anyway, it's worth the try and it worked for me
