Arrow Keys Issue

I don't know about the rest of you, but I find the arrow keys to be...iritating. Every other strategy game uses the arrow keys to scroll the map, and whenever I switch from the other games back to GalCiv2, I get all....annoyed.

Anybody else have this anoyance, or am I just insane?

I use the arrow keys quite a bit to move my ships around but I'ld go for having the arrow keys for map movement and use the numbers on the numpad for ship movement -- then i could move diagonally with the keyboard.

I get all annoyed when I cant grab&move the map like in GalCiv2 ;o)

i'd personally like to see the number pad enabled within the ship yard.

2, 4, 6, and 8 would be to move left/right/forward/backward

1, 3, 7, and 9 would be to rotate left/right/up/down

as well as use of the mouse for fine tuning.

just a thought.
