Logon Studio Crash

I installed Logon Studio. Then I downloaded one of the skins on the site. After I installed the skin and pressed apply, it went to log off mode. Then on the log on screen....my user name wasn't there. Only Shutdown button is on the screen. Now I can't enter windows anymore. I cant even go into safe mode to uninstall this program. Now I am stuck. What can I do to reverse the process? I don't want to reinstall windows anymore. This sucks...this program is pretty much dangerous if you downloaded non working skins, like the one i used.

ok, i have seen this error only during the safe mode, but maybe i can help.

run windows into the safe mode, when the Off button appear use your keyboard arrow to move down the user account(you wont see it), if you creat a password to acces your session, just tipe it and press enter.

maybe the error is on the skin you use., and not on the software.

NOTE: you wont see your account during the safe mode, only the Off button, write the password that you use or just press enter..., and btw.., that resolution are you computer set up? 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768?

With logonstudio skins, depending on the image and user account panel colors, they are less visible, sometimes looking like they are not there. There are 9 positions they can be set at. I would guess they are there but you wont see them until they are moused over to focus them. Move mouse over entire screen and you should see them pop up.

Try this……..turn off your pc……..then reboot…..when logon screen appears..Ctrl+ Alt+Delete. This should bring up windows logon.

The problem was the skin not the program. yeah i pressed ctrl+alt+del on logon. then i unloaded the problematic skin. there should be a workaround if you installed a non working skin posted in the FAQ in this site. I searched the internet using another PC for an alternative log-on instead of the usual winxp log-in, then i found it. But there was nothing on the stardock site about it.

i also tried pointing the mouse everywhere but there was none. also pressed tab to scroll for hidden butons but there was none. The skin I used was the vitro one. after i learned the ctrl+alt+del workaround, i installed it with resolution of 1024 x 768 but still it wasn't working. maybe the new file went corrupt tycus? please try to download it again maybe the current file has a problem.

Or better yet, when you log on to safe mode, the log on skin can be reversed. Because I nearly reformatted the PC beacuase you cannot log-on to windows anymore. I could not use the system restore as well cause I am stuck at log-on, where i could not log-on to anything. Its really frustrating.
