DX - Empty recyclebin

I imagined that there was a command in DX to empty the recyclebin. I thought I used it in an old theme I made years ago. I don't have it anymore so I can't check it.

But am I completely wrong? Is there no such command? Or is my brain so deviously evil that it desides to ignore what's staring me in the face?

Right now I'm trying to see if there's a shortcut syntax I can use. Or perhaps some VB scripting...

Make new object on general tab change object type to shortcut then click on browse go to folder shortcut drop down list recycle bin on bottom. or you can go to add abilities on general page and add the trash bin from the menu... Hope this helps

@ Murex: I also am trying to get this to work properly. I configured the object as you said, but it does nothing when I click on it.

whitedragon33 what Murex says is correct. The best I've found is to create an object. Give it object type shortcut and set the location just below to Start Menu. Drop down and add additional abilities Trash bin using custom states. You can then have an empty and full state trash bin anywhere on your Desktop, once you also assign the appropriate Icons on the states tab (by selecting image and browse).

I customize many of my downloaded DX themes with this and it works. You can also make your trash can a popup and have a control button to show/hide your trash bin.

After I posted I found the trashbin plugin. It says it should empty the bin whenever an object containing it is clicked, but nothing happends.

Well looks likes the trashbin doesn't work any more.. It's been awhile sense I have used it so I wasn't aware that it wasn't working. I always just make a shortcut to bring up the recyclebin because i like to see what is in it before i empty it.. Any who I did download one of the older trashbin objects and even thought it says it will not work with newer versions it seems to work ok.. Maybe you can use it until Stardock fixes it..

Thanks, Murex. I downloaded one of the older ones, and changed the images to what I wanted. It'll do until it gets fixed.

Oh well, I'm not experiencing what you all are. I click on a full trash can and I get a dialogue box allowing me to empty my trash. It doesn't empty automatically. Works the same as WIndows XP regular trash can does which is what I'm used to.
