I bought WindowBlinds because....

I thought that I would easily find a theme that it EXACTLY like the Windows XP theme, but just in different colors. I know that Windows provides the regular blue, silver, and olive green. I bought Windowblinds because I figured there would be themes just like the ones I listed above, but maybe in red, yellow, and dark green, etc... I know it sounds silly, but that's what I wanted. I really like the clean look of the Windows XP theme but I just wish there were more colors!

Most of the other themes here are a little too busy for me. Does anyone know if there IS such a thing that I'm looking for? Exactly like the Windows XP theme, but in lots of different colors? Pink? Purple? Anything? Can anyone point me in the right direction? I even bought SkinStudio thinking I could make one...whew, was that a mistake. I wish I had the time to invest in learning how to use it, but my life is far too busy.

Any help for this girl?

i have never try this***, but what if u try to choose the defoult windows theme and recolor it with the "Edit Color" option?

>select the defoult windows style>see if the "Edit Color" option is available>if it's, just choose the color that u want.., maybe i'm wrong, but this might work..

It goes back to the classic windows theme if you want to change the colors.

If you were referring to using Skinstudio, I have it somewhere on my pc...but I have no clue where.

Anyone know of a skin I can dl?

Cavan,

You had the winning ticket! Thanks so much. I can't believe how easy it was. I've had this program over a year and couldn't figure it out. I feel like a total douche for not figuring it out. Anyway, thanks so much!!!!

I didn't even expect to get any replies to my question...thanks everyone.

Dont' use that theme.. I did, and it totally confused the heck out of Windows because it uses the same exact name, and Windows wanted to load the msstyle, but it saw this, and it ends up loading corrupted things... Read the comments on that page, it does the same thing...

This is what will happen if you try to load the REAL Windows XP theme ever again..

If there is a way you know how to rename a theme so that it has a different name in Display Properties, by all means, fix it, but until then, I don't reccoment it.. The only fix to the problem above is to remove the theme, and reboot Windows..

If that is a problem just just use the 3rd link BX gives above and color change it.
You end up with some strange titlebar button colors though.

No help for you. Just kidding.

If you like the default Luna theme, you should really try Luna Element. Other options are ClearLooks and XPMC. Dowload the plain visual styles. These themes may be used for extended periods of time. The eye candy in most WB skins is too much for me too and even the WB styles I like I can only stand for a week or two.
