Object Dock 2007

Hello,

I'm a registered user of object dock. The purchasing date was in june 2006. Get I now the version with the one year update servicee or I have to buy a upgrade to the new version of object dock?

Thanks.

Hello NiBa,

When you purchase Object Dock, you will have access to all updates until the next whole number version release, so you should be all set.

You indicate that you have ObjectDock, not Object Desktop. Is this correct?

If so, and you have ObjectDock Plus (the purchased version), then the 1.3 version is the current version. I believe you would have received 1.2 on the June 2006 date, so this would mean (if Stardock is still using the same system) that you are entitled to updates through version 2.2 (if they get that far).

If you are using the free version, then simply download and install the newer versions as they become available.

Note - you can go here:

https://www.stardock.com/support/

Fill in the e-mail address and you will be sent links to the most recent official released version of your purchased software (that you are entitled to). Note - this excludes Stardock Central, which will offer updates when you launch if available.

If you were referring to Object Desktop, then the June 2006 purchase will be active until June 2007, and you can update programs during that period via Stardock Central, including the new Object Desktop launcher.

Ah...

Excuse me for replying to this, as it seemed to have the most relevant topic to what I'm hoping to have...

Am I to understand that upgrading Object Desktop versions from 2005 to 2007 wouldn't cost a thing? I purchased Object Desktop back in June 2006 like NiBa and was curious.

I am also curious as to how to go about the upgrading, what else need I download, or do for that matter?

ObjectDesktop is a subscription, as long as your sub. is current, within one year from purchase you are entitled to all OD updates. To update open Stardock Central, all updates will be in the ObjectDesktop area. As OD subscribers we also have access to Betas, if you check Show pre-release versions, it will show the most current beta.
If you want just the latest release build do not check show pre-releases.

ok...i wasnt really paying attention when i woke up this AM. But my stardock central said my Object Desktop was expired even though it said it expired on aug 6th. So I went to stardock and renewed it...but i thought i saw a " buy now " renew it " and an " upgrade " button. I had already pushed the renew button so I didnt see what it said - i thought maybe you had to pay for an upgrade to Object Desktop 2007. yes or no ?

The Upgrade link you saw is probably to upgrade from a stand alone program (such as WIndowBlinds) to the full Object Desktop subscription.

Im still confused on this Cavan - do I just update each program I already have ? Or do I uninstall my OD and reinstall everything ? I havent updated anything in a long time because everything was working just fine - im notseeing any updates that state 2007 update.

Hey Fairyy~, just update. The updates do not state for 2007, the apps that have been updated are now at the next version level.
OD Launchpad is now version 2
Enhanced File Dialog is now 1, no longer beta
etc.
