product activation trouble

activation issues - window blinds 5

I have installed my stardock central software and inserted my Object Desktop serial number. Now when i download Windows Blinds 5 to install, it compleates and says that it cant register or activate due too having other products registered under a differnt email address. This is the orginal email i used to purchase the software 1 year ago? Can i please get this sorted out, i cant run window blinds until i can activate it, which, i believe should be done automatically once i have my stardoc.net account registered and my object desktop serial entered.

Go to your My Account page, and go to "Cross reference with Stardock Account".

Okay, and on what page do i find this MY ACCOUNT page, i can find one here on the forums page, but there is nothing there that says "Cross reference account with stardock account"? From the main stardock.com page, there is also no where to login or find my account either?

Sorry but this is ust a link to wincustomize, i have now paid for Object desktop(renewal$34.95), wincustomize(renewal$19.95), however , i still cannot run Window Blinds 5? it says i need to enter my email and serial number? I am now a very frustrated user and ready to refund all the money i have paid out $54.95.

No i did not have any stardock software installed prior to reinstalling the stardock central and entering my stardock.net email and passwords, and registering my newly paid for renewal of object desktop serial.

open SDC, tools, lookup serial number, put in your email, click submit and see if you get an email with a different serial.

i have the right serial installed. I just did a comlete uninstall and reboot and reinstall. The error i get when installing and activating window blinds 5 is : There was an error activating Window Blinds 5. Error: 5. I emailed stardock yesterday, no answer yet. I guess i will have to wait until next week to see if any changes are made now. waiting patiently.........

Hop onto #stardock in IRC [via Stardock Central is easiest]....and someone may be there to 'fix' things for you....though it is the weekend now...so you may be stuck till Monday...

GigaByte69: I assume, since you had no Stardock apps installed and you bought renewals, that you just re-formatted your drive. Activate.exe must be allowed through your firewall. Either allow it in firewall settings or drop your firewall to allow it. It only has to go through once.
