2 PC's

Do I have to buy 1 copy per PC?

I have 2 PC's at home, and depending which one is already in use, I play games on the other. Usually I just install any game on both pc's. Can I do this with Galactic Civ 2? And how (if its allowed)?

I'm not going to buy another copy, as that ends up being quite an expensive game.

Yes, you can. If they both have net connection, you just install normally. If one has net connection, you have to email to get a sig.bin for the non-net one.

The EULA (IIRC) states that you can have GalCiv2 on as many mechines you want as long as they are only used one at a time, and all not at the same time. And what you state it within those.

Ok, well the message I get is:

"The product appears to be validated, but the serial number or the machine SID don't match"

Anyone able to help here?

I think it might be because I tried copying the game files off my other PC, so I didn't have to download however many megs again.

After that I tried downloading Startdock Central thing, and installing over the top of the copied files. Still the same error though.

In C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2 there should be a file called "sig.bin". Delete that. (It makes the link between the machine you installed it on and the registration key. Since you copied all the files over, you probably copied that as well.)
