I want to use DesktopX as default shell for my sons account, but use Explorer as default shell for m

Hi everyone

I have Windows XP SP1. I just want to know if it's possible to have DesktopX run on one account and at the same time be able to have the administrator account use the Explorer as default shell.

Yes.

DesktopX only runs at startup for the account that told it to.

DX isn't a shell [as Koasati mentioned] ... it needs the Explorer.exe process [shell] to be running.  DX is a shell enhancement... to alter the GUI...

No, because it's not a shell.

However, if you set DTX to run at startup on your son's account it won't interfere with other accounts.
