I have set windowblinds to use supplied wallpaper, but it doesn't. Anyone got any idea why?

Does the skin you're using have a supplied WP? Not all do.

And some that do will have the wall in a zip in the skin folder.

A large number of skins do not tell WB about the wallpaper which is why WB does not apply it.

WB4 did not support jpg wallpapers, so older skins did not tell WB.  Newer skins will because WB5 does support jpg wallpapers now.

Ok Thanks for that, I suppose this is a really stupid question, but is there a way of telling which skin would have the wallpaper such as maybe the size of the file, since I recently downloaded WD I take it I have WB5 thanks again all the best

Generally the author of the skin will state in the description that the wall is include. Some will state the size if only one wall, some will include a zip file in skin folder with multi-res walls. In this case you will have to extract the walls and put the size wall you want in the skin folder so WB can apply it when apply skin.

You can look in the skin folders found in: "C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\WindowBlinds" folder.

When looking in the skin folders, you can use the "View menu > Thumbnails" to easily see if one of the files is a wallpaper.

I usually check all skins for walls and cut and paste into a folder I made in my Documents.I dont set WB to install the supplied wall I prefer to mix and match my own. All I do is right click on any wall in folder and click on
" Set as desktop background "

You can put in windows if you want but wallpaper hogs like me need separate folders for the thousands of walls i seem to need to save .

One reason I think most wallpapers are saved in the author's file is space, a bitmap takes up a good deal more space than the same file as a jpeg. I use a program to switch the file to a bitmap, or if you have SkinStudio, you can search for the file in the folder, then the program will change it to a bitmap itself.

Hi again at the moment am sticking to the simple way of doing things, as in set as desktop background, I don't as yet have thousands but will try and work my way up there, I have invested in the ObjectDesktop and it has SkinStudio in it, have downloaded the documentation and printed it out all 118 pages of it and am reading thru it, as soon as I understant what I'm reading I see if I can find the WP that way, I hope !!! I think I spend more time getting this computer to look cute than doing anything usefull but hey it's fun again thanks for all the help have a great day

Hey shazray, in SkinStudio, Explorer tree select Desktop. On the right in Section tab will be Desktop Wallpaper. Right click on desktop wallpaper, import, browse file for.
