Need help with new patch

After reading the new patch and the AI enhancements, I eagerly awaited the patch to download, (the latest one), however when I come to activate it, it won't. I don't know why. I copy and pasted the serial code Stardoc sent me to replace the one I got with my purchase as the european ones are wrong. However it still doesn't seem to work. Please can somebody help me. Perhaps I've just done something daft?

You could try installing Stardock Central and let it handle the updates for you. This also lets you install new 'beta' builds when they are available.
