adding theme/background to objectdock

I have searched and read enough posts/articles and yet my problem isn't fixed

I have OD installed and I downloaded this :

https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=10578&LibID=29

I unzip the file and I get .ini file and 4 png files

I tried many combos .. ini file in theme and rest of the files in their folder in background, in theme .. etc

what happens ?
the .ini file is changed to background.ini !! and in OD I see default and background listed in load theme and when I choose to load background, I get a message if I wanna load "" <-- no name and when clicking on advanced, I see nothing listed in the big box

I even tried to rename the .ini file back to its org name and restart OD and I see the org name listed in themes to load, but yet nothing to load

what am I doing wrong ? I tried others and all give me the same issue

do I need to install something else ?? like wblinds or desktopX ??

thanks for any help

GSXUK,

Your link is broken.

I do not know if you read my mini tutorial or not, but here it is http://corkyo.wincustomize.com/Articles.aspx?SID=5463&AID=82930

It outlines the file structure and where to place the files.

I unzip the file and I get .ini file and 4 png files

What are the four PNG files? Icons or background image files?

If they are background image files, then you have downloaded a background only and the ".ini" file and four PNG files need to be kept in the extracted folder (extract to same location you downloaded to) and placed in the background folder under ObjectDock's sub-directory.

Usually a theme will include the following:

1 - Background folder (with the background images and a "background.ini" file)
2 - A theme ".ini" file
3 - Dock entry images (either ".ico" files or ".png" files). These may or may not be contained in their own folder.

Please post a good link if you want, and someone can help with more specific instructions if needed.

the link is working, it is just wincustomize site is up & down today

ok, I realized the issue now. I am treating it as a theme and it is a background. putting the extracted folder as it is in background folder did it .. thanks
