Do you use the shareware version? If so, you might have run out of your evaluation time.

Have you tried rebooting? Can you give us some more information? E.g. System specs and the info thats available in the WB-configuration panel.

When did you install the trial?

Also check the date of your PC in case it has been changed.

Only put it on yesterday, when ever i select a skin, it flashes and goes to xp basic, even though in desktop, properties it will say, for eg, sunlife.!

Can you post your system info from the WB config app?

Can you load the WindowBlinds configuration panel (either via 'Start > All Programs > Object Desktop > WindowBlinds', or by right-clicking the WindowBlinds icon in the System Tray > select 'Configure WindowBlinds')?

If you can load the configuration panel, click the link on the left called "System Information" > highlight the text and press "Ctrl+C" keys > paste that information into the post comment box here.

This will show whether WindowBlinds appears to be installed correctly and whether your graphics adapter supports per-pixel blending.
As 'Aufish' indicated, this will allow someone to help you in a more efficient way.

Edit: What 'Zubac' said.

Dude, I think your trial is up.

Try going into WindowBlinds configuration panel > Basic Settings > deselect the "Apply any wallpaper supplied" > click the "Apply Changes" link on left-side of configuration panel.

Make sure WindowBlinds in unloaded (either via the configuration panel, or the WB system tray icon context menu) > right-click desktop > Properties > Themes tab > select and apply "Windows XP" from the Theme list.

Reboot the computer and then try to apply a skin from the WindowBlinds configuration panel.

If this fails, try to set your display resolution to a lower setting and then apply a skin. If this works, then there may be an incompatibiliy between WB and your graphics adapter and/or driver in regards to the per-pixel blending support.

Hopefully Neil will drop back by as he is the developer.

If it's a trial version, then where is this coming from?

WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC

I was under the impression that meant it was a paid version.

Last resort would be to uninstall/reboot/reinstall.

Other than that, it sounds like the software may think the trial period is up, or that the machine is running in safe mode for some reason.

Waiting for Neil on this one.

I'm curious, since you got it on the 10th where did you get if from?

Version 5.01 has been out since mid March.
Your dates are really old and they match 5.00[b].010

Does your curiosity get it fixed, or just gives you something to do.?

Does it matter?

Gives me something to do. Also give me an idea for fixes.

Neil's request on the other hand.... He's with Stardock and WB is his baby.
He'll have better ideas.
