How to keep Attention going?

How can I get the attention behaviour to continue? I searched and found previously where stardock said they were looking into fixing it to where once it something stopped flashing it would change state, but saw nothing since then.

I'd like to get rid of my taskbar, but not being able to tell I have an IM or that a program has produced output is a big thing and stops me from being able to do this.

Also..how do you get consistent search results from the forums? I've searched for attention numerous times and only get results occaisionally--this is very odd to me.

This is a function of the IM client. I have Trillian set to flash until I respond, and it works perfectly with ObjectDock.

Also..how do you get consistent search results from the forums?

That's a great question....... wish I had an answer.

Yes. The amount of time it normally flashes for is part of the client. But it's not just chat programs, and adjusting the number of flashes isn't really my concern. I want to know that a program flashed and I haven't looked at it yet. The windows taskbar is sticky. After the program is done flashing the taskbar entry will remain hilighted until you give the window focus.
