One of the things our art department has done with the extra time allotted is create mini-cut scenes.
GalCiv has a LOT of events that allow the game keep a fresh feel to it game after game. We've been using still images for this.
But with extra time, we've been able to create small cut scenes that we think give a much better feel than still images.
