Runtime Error R6025 - New Guy Again!

This happens upon closing certain gadgets/widgets in certain ways only!

I thought I was getting good at this.

Humbled again!

I made a simple mp3 player.

The problem has to do with the closing problem resolved in another thread (thanks again!)

If I try to close the player while a selection is playing, without stopping the file's play back, I get Runtime Error R6025 - Pure Virtual Function Call.

I am a very old programmer. These new things are all alien to me.

I think I need to add a script to the close button that will stop the playback, but am unsure. That does not seem to be part of the examples I have seen.

Any Ideas?

This happens with the video player I'm struggling with too.

I can call up a video screen from a button (still have not figured out how to have it open automatically!) (but that can wait).

Could it be related to the text displays? If a timer is still trying to count the duration of the file??

I have no clue.

Any help would be Greatly Appreciated!

Thanks Muchly.

Peace.

Out of curiosity, what media player is your object leveraging? That may be a factor.

HOLY CRAP!!!

How the Fluff did I miss Your response to this Month Old Post??

I am a Rude and Discourteous Man!

I apologize.

I actually shelved this project when I discovered that the players needed to call upon specific programs to do their dirty work.

I thought I was making a player, not a set of active x commands to activate a pre-existing player!

I had it set to "None - Let DX Player Decide"

I thought that was funny...

As I said, I am new to this.

I'm now trying to make a simple game.

The player was begun under the impression that it would be Poop Simple based on the Video Tutorial I saw!

Again, I have no idea how I missed your response.

Sorry.
