Is this a bug? Strange starbases

Mutated starbases?

Is this a bug? When i was upgrading my mining starbase, i put about 8 modules on it and it went strange. Normally it has 4 of those spires on the sides. But then it had 8! i would post a screenshot but i dont know how.

I had the same thing with an economic starbase. It had 8 round orbitting thingies instead of 4, but after I reloaded the extra ones dissapeeared.

I have also seen this too, as far as i can figure, a second model of the starbase is made which is slightly behide the rotation of the first one, this gives the illusion of a starbase with twice the number of arms. i discovered this was a double model when i used a cheat to move the doubled up starbase. i could only move one of them, which had all of the starbase abilities and was the real one, the duplicate just stayed there and looked pretty and had no affect on gameplay what so ever. i never reported it because it had no affect on my game and looked cool.

There should be a print screen button (prt sc) or somethin' like that to the right of the F12 button... If you have a laptop you may need to hold the fn key down when you hit it...

If you save and reload the game, does this occur? If so, please send us your save game ( gc2bugs@stardock.com ) If it doesn't, please post the contents of your debug.err file. It may provide a clue as to why this is happening. This file can be found in C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2. Does it seem to only happen when upgrading a starbase, or does it also happen after starbases are attacked, or uncovered from fog? Did you put those 8 modules on all at once, or individually? A screenshot would be helpful to see exactly what it looks like. Thanks.

To the clipboard. You have to paste it into Paintbrush or something.

To the clipboard.

And where would this "clipboard" be?

Whenever you copy something, you save it into your systems "clipboard", which is just an imaginary place somewhere deep inside Windows.

If you were to highlight some text here, right click, and choose to "copy" it, that is also saved into the clipboard, then you can either right click on the text field and "paste" it, or.... you can use Ctrl+C to copy and Ctrl+V to paste...

So, when you hit the print screen key what you are doing is "copying" a replica of what is on your screen at that exact moment into your systems clipboard. What you want to do then is open up an image editing program, like MS Paint, and then hit Ctrl+V, which again, will paste the contents into the program. Once you do that, you need to save the image.
