Changing home star system star color

Is there any way to change the color/texture of the custom race home star system? I have tried different things but to no avail. I would like a purple star for my home planet.

The Meese don't like yellow.

It does not appear so at present. You can make new star types, but there is no way to assign one specifically to a customized system. There is a star texture entry, but it is not yet used by the game.

Ya, I tried that and found it didn't work. Oh well, maybe with a future update.
