Terran start techs missing

I had the demo, and tried modding it. The mod I tried didn't work, so I changed the files back to the original settings (reinstalled, since I didn't have backups). For some reason, the Terrans no longer had starting techs. I now have the full version, and the problem remains. Anyone know what happened or how to fix it?

Uninstall the game, reboot, install it again.
