Game just keeps getting better and better

v1.2 BETA

When v1.1 finally went gold I thought to myself *wow I can't really think of anything to make this game better for me*. I mean sure there were a few quirks in the game that annoyed me but all of those are my minor preferences. Now I've downloaded and played the beta of v1.2 and once again am smiling from ear to ear. Let's highlight a couple here.

1) Upgraded Colony tab in the Civ Manager Screen. Woot! I play the game almost entirely in two screens: Main screen on Strategic View and the Colony tab of the Civ Manager Screen. Being able to see focus and set it saves a monster amount of clicking when I have most of the galaxy under my thumb. Not having it reset itself when I do go to a colony also helps a great deal. Now when I'm scanning my planets to optimize them I don't have to remember the name of the last one I visited. Big help when your empire numbers upwards of 50 colonies or more.

2) Save/Load times. I actually had to stop and hit the save button a couple of times cause I wasn't sure it had saved the first time I tried because it was so quick. Previously it would take upwards of a minute or more for my system to save a game for the first time. Now it's done in something like two or three seconds. Definite thumbs up for getting this optimized.

I'm sure I'll come across more game gold as I continue to play. Just wanted to say that all your hard work is appreciated. All this from a game I paid $39.99. I really wish the rest of the game industry worked like this . Ah well. Maybe some day.

Have not tried 1.2 yet, will wait for the final version. Which I have no doubt will be excellent from the comments I have already read.

The developers/stardock spoil us, with each patch, u expect to get alittle and get loads. Just been reading the journals, most of what is in the patches the programmers do in there own spare time.

So a big thank u from me.
