Dune mod

Wouldnt it be great to have a Dune mod? Yeah it would, you could have house Attreidies, Harrkonen, Corrino, The Bene Gesserit, and the Fremen as a minor race bound to the planet Arrakis. Think of the possibilities!!!

That is an awesome idea. You could also have factions like the Tleilaxu and Ix, not to mention the Swordmasters of Ginaz. I wish I had the time to try something like that. Well maybe this winter.

Yes i forgot the Tleilaxu and ix, been awile since ive read the books. The planet Arakis would be out there to discover and thered be a melange trade good, or a tile that if the proper structure is constructed on it, it would produce melange. Yeah, id never have time to do this in any reasonable lenth of time though.

I'm not the kind of playing mod with this kind of game, but a Dune mod... I will try it

yah a mod with the big three, and arrakis to be taken by the three, and have the freemen as natives also so many minors to add (perhaps not play)

House Ordos only actually appeared in 3 video games. Dune II, Dune 2000, and Emperor: Battle for Dune, but they are mentioned in the Dune Encyclopedia.

What about the following idea (don't know if it's modable that far):

- set base approvol far down
- give all major civilisation one super approval-bonus project from the beginning on their homeworld to compensate the low default approval
- Arakis shouldn't get approval bonus, so the resistance (Fremen) is fighting their guerilla war (-> random events on arakis, frequency depends on actual approval)
- Arakis should have high economy bonus (Spice!)

- Victory condition could be to get Arakis to a certain approval, which only would be possible by conquering all the Super Approval Projects out there. This means conquering Arakis would give you a huge economy bonus, but to get rid of guerilla events and win the game, you have to conquer at least all other homeworlds.
