Collectors Edition (2nd post)

Ok, this is my 2nd post on the same issue, i got no help last time. I bought the collectors edition online, and downloaded all the regular content. I played the campaign and stuff, but I am now trying to get the collectors edition content. The page
https://www.galciv2.com/CollectorsEdition/ is where I have been told to download it, and I've tried. However, after downloading I get this message:
Thank you for purchasing Galactic Civilizations II.
This installer has updated the registry to enable the
bonus in-game content. You must have updated via the
standalone update installer at www.galciv2.com or via
Stardock Central for this content to be accessible.

I have no idea what the standalone update is, or how to update at Stardock Central. I haven't found a place to enter my serial number or anything, I don't understand why you can't just enter your serial number As you download the collectors edition content. And, I also haven't seen any of the new stuff described in the Bonus pack. Am I suppose to activate that somehow to, cause it didn't say I needed to. Any tips or suggestions on how to make these downloads work?

Oh yeah, and I didn't download the 3rd download that says Galactic Civilizations II Desktop Enable Content Collectors Edition because it says
"Run this setup program below to enable in-game Collectors Edition content and install the Galactic Civilizations II Desktop. You must have the latest version of the game installed (either via standalone update from GalCiv2.com or Stardock Central). "
Where as the 2nd download says
"Download and Run this setup program to enable the in-game content. " I only wanted in game content, not the desktop stuff.. confusing language, hope i got that right

please be patient, Beta 1.2 has been just released and thte staff has there hands full. Have you installed stardock centraal and haave you sucessfully upgraded your game to version 1.1 yet? It is free.

The 1.12 beta version is also now aailableif you enable the see pre release versions.

IIRC there's a difference between the extra content and the Collectors Edition . The extra content is for everybody who has a key (a bonus for buying the game and not pirating it)

So you do need to dowload the Collectors Edition Downloads. The theme is a seperate install and isn't installed while adding the jewelery.

That's IIRC so if I'm wrong, I'm wrong.

Yes, ive upgraded to 1.11 so far, havent gotten the 1.12 beta.. I know the extra content is seperate from the Collectors edition, problem is I can't find it anywhere in game, and thats probably cause I didn't enter a serial key #, except I can't find where to enter the serial key number for either the collectors edition content or the extra content, it doesn't come up when I download it, and it doesn't show up in game =\

You can enter the serial number in SD, right click on Galactic Civilazations II en select register. In the next screen make sure that GC2 is still selected and enter the serial you have.

The extra jewelery is found when you build a ship, it's under extra - generic and has collector's edition structure as a desctreption.
