Background Trouble

So I'm having a problem. Whenever I load WB with any skin, the background windows color always changes to a dark grey color. No matter how many times I change it to black, it always reverts to the grey color when I turn on my computer.

Is there anyway to fix this?

In order to get the desktop background color (which is what I think you are referring to) to "stick," you need to change the setting for that color in the skin itself. There is a section in the skin's control file that lets the skinner change the color settings so that unskinned windows & apps like MSOffice at least have the same/similar color scheme.

The easiest way to do this is to download SkinStudio from Stardock (it's free), open the skin you want to use in SkinStudio, go to the Classic Colors section and change the desktop color to the color of your choice. Save the skin, then reload it (there's a button in SkinStudio for this) or reboot. That should get the desktop background to stay the color you want. Obviously, you would need to do this with any other skin you may use if you don't care for the color the skinner selected.
