Cant load game "Unable to load scripting libraries"

I have updated to 1.1 and all my video cards have been updated (6 month old computer using windows XP)
When I installed both discs and I try to play the game, I get this error

"Unable to load scripting libraries"

the probable reason it gives for it not working is my windows script 5.6 was improperly installed. I downloaded from microsoft the fix or whatever it does and nothing still works and I continue to get the same error. I play other games (WoW, Oblivion, etc.) and I get no problems w/ them. Someone help me please...

Post your debug.err from the GC2 folder.

If you are running McAffee virus scan, please disable it or have it ignore gc2launch.exe.

If you are not running McAffee, you should still be able to run the game directly by running galciv2.exe in your \program files\stardock\totalgaming\galciv2 folder.
