Desktop X Will not load on statup

I am very new to Stardock, windows blinds and desktop x etc. I cannot get desktop x to load at start-up. I have to reload it manually on every star-up. It will not hold the check in the check-box under configuration to load on windows start-up.

I'd be greatful for all advice.

did you install in manually or through SDC (Stardock Central browser)?

You should be able to copy and paste the .exe into your startup folder-in your start menu. This should run it when you boot.

why copy/paste? when within startup folder > right click, new, shortcut, browse and find

is it a paid or trial version of DTX?
if it's trial, I'm not sure it will run on startup.
