And my ODNT subscription has to run out...

Hmmmm! Cool, maybe I'll have to try it out again.

It was causing me prob's before, but I have a 64 bit processor. Maybe now it will work!

Thanks for the info.

Only one problem - the changelog only goes thru 2.89b. The new version is 2.95b.

Well, I'm embarrassed! I didn't check the version number of the update vs. the changelog, but assumed that the most recent item went with the most recent release

That popup taskswitching is a new feature, right? Pretty neat. Except, I can't get it to work with button 4 or 5 on my Logotech mouse, only the middle one and that causes conflicts when I want to say open new tabs in Firefox by clicking middle mouse button.

I also noticed that the taskbar preview won't display thumbnails of transparent windows. You only see what's behind it.

And shadows stopped working now. I'm currently using the "Alysseum Plus - Citrus" theme.

We have not changed how shadows work, so they should be working as usual and they certainly do here.

The popup taskswitcher works perfectly with buttons 4 & 5 on a Microsoft mouse.  If you are using logitech software you may need to remove it as it may be mapping those buttons to some other functions and thats why WFX is not able to see them.

I will look into the transparent windows issue.

Also please make sure your wfx.dll and wfxload.dll are dated May 2006 and that you are on XP 32 bit.  The 64 bit wfx has not been updated yet.

I was under the impression that shadows didn't work for per pixel frames.

Hey NT, I think you are correct, Alysseum Plus does not have per pixel frames.
Shadow is working here using Alysseum Plus Charger, but after dragging window shadow is gone must min. then restore or send window to bottom and bring back up for shadow to reappear. Does this even if not using a drag effect.

This is one "kick ass" program!

Cavan1: Do you have WFX set to hide shadows when moving & sizing?

The 64 bit wfx has not been updated yet.

If you have 32 bit XP with a 64 bit processor, it works great. This is my config. FYI

I did some testing and some oddities. have a look: http://thomthom.wincustomize.com/photos.aspx?a=2&p=5

when I use the solid shadow you can see the shadow is drawn ontop of the edge of the window frame instead of sticking out underneat it. If I use "Darwin-mini" it doesn't show at all.

my WFX files are dated May 2006.

If you look very carefully with Darwin-mini the shadow is being painted.  Its just very small because with WB skins the shaped window setting is enabled which reduces the amount of shadow thats visible.  This is perfectly normal.

The solid shadow looks to be a bug.  I will see about getting that fixed.

After the last update - I couldnt get Windows FX to make a shadow unless I moved the taskbar to the top ..and the start menu no longer made a shadow at all. I stopped bothering to use it at that point and wished I hadnt updated it at all. It worked fine before the update...did anyone else have this problem ?

In WFX 2 there was an option to set whether the shadow was adjusted for shaped windows or not. Any way of doing this in WFX 3?
