in my own oppinion, if u want to use any skin from WB u will need to set it up to start when windows runs..., but well.., is your choise..

Windowblinds doesn't use that much system resources. Very little in fact. I also like to keep my resources down but I think Windowblinds is worth it. Not a resource hog....

thanks, so i assume then to use any of the object desktop suite i'll have to let them run at startup..cripes thats alot, even rightclick wants to run at startup

i mean wb probably isnt much but to have winfx,objectdock,cursorxp...etc that really adds up to some sluggin, even on my high end pc...i think i shouldve just picked and bought only 1 app and saved some money

even on my high end pc.

Here's another way of looking at it..
I have 1024MB of RAM.. I don't care if WB uses 100MB (which it does NOT do). Right now, I have nearly 600MB free. I never even come close to using it all (unless I run 3 or so Virtual Machines). Until you reach the point of running out, you are good. RAM is cheap right now too.

Unless you have a relatively old rig without much RAM, you can run all the Stardock programs you want at startup without any noticeable hit on performance. I run WB, OB, WFX & CXP on a P3/500 (has 784MB RAM) that is nearly 10 years old without a hitch.

yeah but see, i have 2 gigs
i have 2 video games that can use up almost all of it: Oblivion and Fear

i have athlon64 4000 overclocked 2.7ghz
2 gigs corsair xms ram
7900 gtx overclocked

so sure i can run all these fine, but loading up a game and seeing it stutter and then seeing how much cpu time is going to resources then yes imo it sucks and i see no reason to lower graphics settings just so i can run some eye candy, thats just rediculous

Everyone's needs are different. No law says "eye candy" is required.
