Ok, get this. For the last few months, the community college that I attend have been looking for a mascot. They received numerous entries. Now, the college is in what would be defined as "high desert". The three finalists were: Bandits, Desparados, and Badgers.
Guess which one is now our mascot?
Badgers. So, my CC is now known as the:
Alrighty then...."Badgers" just seems so out of place. Partially cause, as long as i have lived here (17+ years), I have yet to hear of any badgers being spotted, etc...
