Micro-Management Bugs

Bonuses on Terrain Tiles that do not function.

The only Tile-Bonuses that appear to work (in Version 1.0) are the Food bonuses.

Other Tiles Bonuses (i.e. for Production, Science/Research, and Influence) do not make any difference to the points for each appropriate category.

Some Tiles show bonus for "Approval" improvements; would this affect 'happiness' or 'morale' improvements ? As yet I have not found any specifically labelled "Approval" improvements.

Has this issue been dealt with in V1.1 or is it scheduled for V1.2 or later?

Approval = Intertainment Network, etc.

As for the other tiles, I've not see where they do not work. Building a factory on a bonus tile cuts down on build times for both ships and improvements for that planet in the games I've played.

The only thing I dislike a bit is that the bonuses don't show at the details of a particular improvement (e.g a NLC on a 100% research tile should show 44 research if I click on it) but this shouldn't be addressed until the devs have really nothing else to do and feel very bored ...

and has any one EVER found a precursor library?

I have never seen a precursor library. One or two people have said they have, once or twice. They are rare like nothing else in the game, but they do exist, somewhere, I think. I hope. I see the precursor mines pretty often, either on my planets or planets I have captured. Never the library, though.

They all work as of 1.0d as far as I can remember, I know for a fact they work in both 1.0x and 1.1

I have had about 30 precursor mines, and not one damn library.

Thanks for the feedback.

Because of my Dial-up connection I'm limited to V1.0, and perhaps its just a display bug for the non-adjustment of outputs but I have screen-shots of where these bonuses don't seem to work; Unfortunately, my 1920x1200 resolution has made these screen-shots about 100Mb's each, but I wouldn't know where to send them to anyway.

The best way to see the effect of bonus squares is to press the Summary button and look at all the improvements there. Any improvements getting a bonus effect will show there, so a lab producing 8rp on a +300% res bonus will show 8rp + 24rp for that lab on the summary screen.

The Approval tile gives +100% morale for the planet. At least as of Beta 4B (what I'm using right now), it seem to give this +100% morale not only for the morale buildins (Virt reality center, etc), but also for Stock Markets and even Neutrality Learning Centers. I suspect any improvement built there will still get +100% morale, but I haven't checked for sure.

Thanks Lintman but the Version 1.0 screenshots I have are :

The first one of the 'Planet Improvement' screen that highlights a Tile and shows the bonus of the Tile but still shows the 'normal' value for that Improvement;
and,
The Second Screenshot that shows the summary screen over the faded above screen, where the particular bonus is not reflected in the total for those types of improvements, there is just the total of the 'normal' amounts of that type for each Tile of that type plus any amount from the "Settlement/Colony City".

I have a feeling that, to try to show these screenshots by pasting them into a "post", wouldn't work in any format let alone the "Bitmap" type I used as the default save type.

A Stock Market would get a Morale boost from the Tile bonus because Stock Market improvements have a 'Morale' bonus (5% I vaguely remember) as well as an influence bonus and the expected Economic bonus.

Anyway, my answer seems to be that this problem is fixed in Version 1.1 according to pretty much everybody.
