Ship upgrading: how to in stacks

No, one at a time or all at once.

thats something I'd like to see, in addition to just being able to bring up the upgrade dialog from a fleet of ships. Currently, you have to single out one ship from the design you want to upgrade and you can upgrade one or all. It would be nice to be able (for financial reasons) to upgrade ships in a fleet, so I can finance the upgrade on a monthly basis. Last big group I wanted to upgrade would have cost over 100,000 BCs.

The fleet upgrade is more of a nice to have, but I think that being able to get to the upgrade dialog from a fleet of ships is a far more important feature that I would like to see added sooner rather than later.

I agree.

I rarely have the ability or the desire to upgrade an entire class all at once. I may not have the money, I may be engaged in a war, or some of my ships may be too far away from home to risk a lengthy upgrade.

I also find it a nuisance to have to disband a fleet to upgrade the ships in the fleet. The ability to upgrade an entire fleet, or individual ships in the fleet from the fleet manager screen would be a nice feature to have.

Long time lurker, finally created my account just so I could second the comments here as well.

Having to disband a fleet to ugrade some or all of the ships in it is always proving to be a thorn in my side. I was hoping that would be one of the features in the new fleet manager with 1.1.

I would also like to see an option to rename a ship that is already in a fleet as well.

Other then those minor quibles I must thank the hardworking people at Stardock for a great game and a great update.

Well I've voted on this before, and I'll vote yes it's a needed change, again! I do hope it'll be changed for 1.2 and I tend to think it probably will be. A lot of people have asked for this.
