Directgui.dll Problem

hey people,

I have the same problem as couple other people mentioned, but as i cant seem to get the site to work properly or even get my messages posted i wil try a new post. I think this realy is a drawback wich is kinda irritating. Nevertheless i love your products and i would love to get my programs working again.

It just happened this morning when i started up the computer. An error message that mentioned the directgui.dll when starting up IconX program.

I have done everything with clearing the cache and i run the msconfig and disabled all startup programs to see if it was a problem from a conflict.
I still got the same problem though so i suppose its something else. the program starts up and i see the icons chance but then i get an error message and it shuts off again after i click on dont send (the normal windows error message).

Can somebody please help me (i like iconx and windowsblinds the most of all packages, and thats why i bought the software:( )

Greetings,

Nelis

I had a similar problem. For me, I found that iconX was always trying to draw a thumbnail image of every image file on my desktop to use as each image's icon. I had a 15Mb jpg on my desktop which would crash iconX upon startup or if I dragged the image file on to my desktop from some other folder. Removing this large image file from the desktop allowed iconX to load and work properly.
I am using IconX 1.11.008

If it's not some honking huge pic on the desktop, then try Milksama's suggestion here: Link
