Pop. Growth VS Morale

Same thing, which is better?

a High morale can give you a population growth bonus.

population growth bonus don't give you morale.

Which is better, are they balanced?

You mean race picks?
Morale, hand down.
Higher taxes, and easier to maximize approval to 100% and get DOUBLED growth rate (compared to 99%).

I tend to get a bit of both in racial traits

I get Population growth and Moral, because the increased economy allows me to buy everything else I need

Morale is better. Think of all the relatively small planets you colonize in the course of a game. Will pop growth help those? Not much, if at all. Will morale? Yup.

A morale bonus can keep those colonies from dragging you down and make it easier to get pop growth bonuses from high morale.

I like the first point of Morale, since that gives you 10%. But the other 2 points I can pass, because they only give you 5%. Population growth, though, kicks butt. Right now I'm going back and forth whether I prefer population growth or +30% economy.

Is it correct that a planet gives 100% pop bonus if its morale is at 100% even if the morale in the "domestic" window is 95%? I'm correct to guess that what the morale in the domestic window says doesn't matter?

I wonder if it's only the planet morale that matters. Say for example that Earth and Mars got 100% Morale while Vizzard II got 98% and morale in the domestic window is 80% for instance. Then Earth and Mars gets doubled pop growth while Vizzard II gets 25% pop growth?

i find it easy enough to get a100% morale on my colonys just by building a few vr centers and lots of stock exchanges.A fully teched morale resource really helps to
