Activation issue

Activated my copy of GC2 a month or so ago by email.
Everything seemed to work without a problem.
Then I had a few problems with my hard disk that resulted in a reformat (Non GC2-related).
Have reinstalled GC2 and put the file thingummy file back but it now gives an error message along the lines of ...
'Product validated but serial # or machine SID don't match'

Do I need to go through the activation process again? The only details I entered in last time were my email address and the serial #. Neither of those have changed ...

Yes, you'll need to reactivate via email. The sig.bin file is only for your current installation of Windows, so when you nuked, you rendered your original file invalid.
