parse error '<' at line 1.

OK, I've been a Wincustomize suscriber/Object Desktop customer for 3 or 4 years & I still can't see how to search these forums so if this question has already been answered please forgive me.

On some skins when I open control panel I get this error (usually twice) parse error '<' at line 1.

When I click ok it goes to control panel but shows no icons

It works fine in "classic view" Is this an easy fix?

i'm guessing this skin has a horizontal shellstyle. am i correct? it seems virtually all the horizontal shellstyles give that error to me when i enter the control panel. if i get that error, the skin is deleted.

I went through the same thing with the 'Clear One' wb. Somehow, it manged to correct itself or just go away.

hmmm... It' does seem mostly to be with skins that have horizontal shellstyles but not all. I just tested 2 that have the horizontal shellstyles and they were ok. It's only a few that do it.
