Just going to hijack this thread to say the Altarians r 'EVIL'. Every game i play they give me the most trouble, pain. I now think of them as 'crusaders'. There way is the right way. Watch out any other race if u disagree with them. Remind me of the Vorlons in Babylon 5.

Do you have the Bab 5 ships?
The Battlecrab and Whitestar ships look great in battle.

This thread reminds me of the Ilwrath from Star Control 2. They are a truly evil society, torturing and eating all sentient beings as sacrifices to their dark gods, burning any world they can get their spidery appendages on, causing fear for its own sake, and so on. The player can go to their homeworld and engage them in a fun ethical debate, arguing that because their society takes evil as the cultural ideal, and because evil is a concept that is subjective to the values of the society in question, are they not in fact being good by doing evil as they ought to do?

At that point they get really confused and angry, then attack you.

In my frist true game on a large map, the korx became so big that I needed the help of arcean, iconian and even the drengin empire all against them. They destroyed the drath legion while having all thoses civ against them.

So which orifice are they speaking from?

Who says they're 'speaking' at all? The translator could be getting text out of tail position, odour, gestures, all kinds of stuff. I mean, everyone says the same gibberish if you don't have a translator... so maybe not.

Look at the nose, dude, it's obvious they speak some form of "snort" or "snot" language.

Would you feel like being "good" if every time you said hello, every other race wiped your greeting off their face and shot at you?
