IconPackager 3.1

I am seeing red right now because I bought and paid for IconPackager and downloaded the IP3.1 and now every time I open IP it gives me this message and then closes.  IconPackager 3.10 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. I have tried numerous times to unload it completely and reload it from the mail Stardock sent me with all the passwords and have no luck. PLEASE HELP !!!!!

I am using WinXP SP2 and IP worked fine until I loaded the 3.1

Are you doing a normal download and install (via IE, or FF or other) or are you using Stardock Central (SDC) browser?

I am using the link from the message that Stardock sent me and copying and pasting the serial numbers. I have IE on my PC.

Try uninstalling, rebooting.

Go get SDC: Link and install it.  Register your serial in SDC (can find the option in tools or click the register on the bottom right corner), then download and install IP.  Using SDC also allows you to archive what you have installed when you update.  Which can be useful.

Thank you so much for the help Sir Bichur. After hours of uninstalling and reinstalling, I think my IP actually works now. I am smiling again.

Glad to hear it.

Until you get used to things, it's probably a good idea to set SDC to autoarchive programs when updating (check box at the bottom) - you can set to archive the program only and not the skins (else all your downloaded skins get archived with it and you gottal download them again) - then if you get an update and it's borked or something you can uninstall the updated one and restore the archived one.
