Huge Ships in First Turns

Hi guys, I've run into a "bug"? While playing a game with all characters with the new 1.1 patch, the Yor, all of a sudden, gained 7 that's right 7 huge ships with 30~ Atk and 20~ Def each. I saw one and thought it was a special event, but then I saw the rest of them. This was quite early in the game so you saw the Yor military SKYROCKET overshadowing all other military as merely specks. While doublechecking the saved game, I noticed they also had ~10 ranger classed ships, I've managed to outdate them, but those huge ships make the Yor overconfident of their strength.

BTW, I am playing a medium map, intelligent, custom race, all races except one due to the max amount being 9 including custom, and the 1.1 patch.

I'm not sure if it's a bug. If just one appeared, I would have been fine, but more than 15 ships equiped with weapons not researched yet (I'm ahead in the weapons race and have barely even reached half way towards what the ship is equiped with).

If they were Precurser Rangers it's a random event. Sometimes they show up in ones and twos and other times they show up by the dozens. Usually there is some form of announcement though.

When Alibi said "they also had ~10 ranger classed ships" I thought that to mean that those were a different ship than the ones originally mentioned, but if he saw Ranger ships then there was definitely an event that happened.

Yeah, its ranger. I know they come from special events, but seeing so much at such an early stage shocked me a bit. I have gotten 1-3 ranger ships in one game before, but to see 15+ ranger ships all from the same race? The ships didn't shock me as anything buggy, but rather the number. While I have ships with the newly researched Mass Driver II, these numerous Yor ships come in this multiple Quantum Drivers.

Shocked as I was, I've been playing it, and I have caught up to the sort of technology to even outdate those ships. It's a great game.

I have gotten I think 8 in a single game before. They just kept coming every few weeks. But I did not realize so many of them in a single game was possible, especially that early in the game.

God damn it! Well, I play another game. This time I felt like isolating myself a bit. Which I should tell you... Is NOT a good idea. Well I had a rough start in the colony rush, I'm playing a good custom race in another normal map. The Yor and Drengin not too far away from me, but they must pass the Arceans. My influence, at first, successfully gated the Torians away from the outside world as well. But, sadly now, my influence is slowly being eroded by the Arceans. The majority of my trades have been with the Torians due to the safety of the routes, i.e. no evil races nearby. Fortunately, the UP has agreed upon a protected trade at the expense of a portion of the trade, which I deem acceptable. As a result, my trade spans as far as my life support can handle. Not too long ago both the Drengin and Yor have declared war on me. However, they must pass the Arceans' territory before getting through me, which gives me the idea of getting the Arceans involved in this War of Ethics. I do not have stunning technology, nor do my enemies, but yet again I see the Yor obtaining Ranger fleets! However! This time I have evidence that it is not coming from an event, oh on the contrary! I witnessed the Yor UPGRADING a 0/3/0 ship to a ~3/0/26 Ranger.

In conclusion, can I get an explanation for this? Or must I not invite the Yor to anymore of my parties.

Alibi, I have the same problem. Twice in a medium map, on 'tough' game the Yor both times got around 10 or 15 ranger ships very very early in the game. I only just got Mass Driver II when I noticed them. What is disturbing is they are upgrading old heavy fighter ships to Ranger class as well suggesting they have the technology. This surely is a bug? the update/bugfix log states they wont appear for 5 years! its been much less than that. They should not be able to build or upgrade existing ships to them!
