I play in 1440x900 on my 19" Viewsonic widescreen, and the only glitch I've ever noticed is at the main menu. On my game, there's a strange "line" in the background image where the menu would be at a standard 4:3 resolution. "Line" doesn't really describe it, but it's harmless, regardless.

When playing the actual game, everything is flawless. The game's UI scales perfectly. Whether or not a game fully supports widescreen displays is a big factor in my buying decisions now, and GC2 is a game that makes me glad that I have a widescreen.

Sweeeet. I was hardcore into GC2 but then Oblivion came my way.. having gotten a bit tired of monsters that never get tougher I'm going to start playing GC2 again, especially with the new monitor!

How do you pursuade it to go widescreen? I couldn't find an option in the menu...

I play on a Sony 51" widescreen and the game plays flawlessly as far as graphics transition. I have multiple resolution settings, but play at the game standard 1020x 780 or whatever it is..

You just change your resolution to a widescreen resolution. The two most common are 1440x900 and 1280x720, but there are quite a few others, too.

Haha, holy jeeze, this game is wonderful in widescreen. It's so funny that the 1st game I've played on this new monitor that made me laugh out loud with joy at the picture is GC2, and not Oblivion or some FPS crap =^)
