Windows Tray

Question

I am considering buying ObjectDock but I have a question.

Currently I just use the regular old windows taskbar. I have a number of programs that minimize to the system tray.. including Firefox, Thunderbird, in addition to the regular things that go down there... such as my power indicator, my wireless network connection icon etc.

I see on the free copy of ObjectDock, if something is minimized to the tray, it doesn't show up on the OD. If it's minimized to the taskbar, it does.

So my question is, in the pay version, is there a way to see those items that are minimized to the system tray, in some sort of ObjectDock menu? I like the quick access I have to those items, but I also like how they can be mostly hidden and are small and out of the way in the Taskbar System Tray.

Thanks.

I've created a system tray tab and have no problem when I minimize items to the tray. I do this all the time with both Outlook and iTunes and have never had a problem. You can also set the shortcuts so that they simply bring up your apps if they are already running, so that you never have to go looking for them (but you can keep them out of the way--particularly from task-switching in my case). I use Keyboard Launchpad for this, and it works wonderfully.

Ah nice that sounds good. I like having items quickly accessible and also out of the way. Then I can turn off the system tray which seems quite nice.

Thanks

Right clock an empty space on the dock.
Choose "tabs" on the context menu
"Add new tab"
"Add systray tab"

I like to create a new dock an have the systray tab the only on on that dock.
