Still Having ObjectDock Startup Probs

Was really hoping this would've been fixed by now

Even with the new version of ObjectDock, if I have it set to run on startup (through the program or by placing a shortcut in the startup folder of the start menu), it still opens up the "my docks" window as well.

Last night I found another workaround that should work for anyone who has the same prob: Use the built-in windows xp task scheduler. You can set a program to run on system startup or on a login. This starts ObjectDock without any probs at all.

Is that the free or plus version?

I use the free & don't have that issue.  Haven't seen any other posts on it either.

Maybe a clean reinstall (with a clearing of the cache)?

Even worse, the startup shortcuts are actually added to two places - the common user (i.e. All User\Start Menu\Programs\Startup) and the specific user. This problem is, when you have a lots of items in OD to slows it down, OD may load up twice. This can be checked very easily - there are 2 OD icons in the system tray, and there're two processes in the task manager.

My workarround is to put the OD startup process into the Run section in HKLM in the registry, so that it only startup once.

Putting it in the Task Scheduler was a great idea. I have had problems with this trait of the program for a long time, and this is the only fix that ever worked. MANY THANKS 23 Monkey
