Strange Problem

Not sure whats happening but after my shareware object dock has been running fine for a couple of weeks all of a sudden on a reboot it appeared down the bottom of my desktop without any icons at all, just a crap looking grey bar....(its usually the top with nice looking icons:D)

I want my pretty highres desktop back:(

Any ideas? I have already done a fresh install etc

Thanks in advance

For some reason I found your post extremely giggle worthy. But as seems to be a trend tonight for me, for no reason at all. And I had better try and say something constructive...

Does ObjectDock even have a shareware version? I thought it was either the free one (without the tabby bits) or the paid version, with the tabby bits and flying menus as compared here: https://www.stardock.com/products/objectdock/

In a disturbed effort to find a cause I installed freeware ObjectDock and then unloaded it, and deleted a whole bunch of files in the install directory, leaving only the executable and some .dll's. It still works rather well, and remains at the top of the screen.

Had another thought that made me laugh, is this crap grey bar by any chance an unskinned windows taskbar? Don't know how that might happen though.

Just deleted some of the .dlls as well and objectbar still loads, all be it (albeit?) a bit nude-like. Robust little bugger.

I get that sometimes on my "normal" dock in OD+

Usually just opening an app reverts it back to normal.

clear the cache

Go to a command prompt and drop this in one of the two lines below.
It will remove the directory silently.

OD+:
rd /s /q "%userprofile%\local settings\application data\stardock\objectdockplus"

OD:
rd /s /q "%userprofile%\local settings\application data\stardock\objectdock"
