Ok I am confused

Ok I am confused. Got the gme on friday and experienced some crashs here and there. Nothing that raelly bothered me, but i looked into it. Now I have been reading about this "Beta". I have been apart of some betas before so this is why i have a quesiton. The beta, is it meaning the beta for the game or the beta for a patch. And if it is part of the game i dished out money for something i could have gotten for free???

Sorry for the noob quesiton I am at school atm so I can't go d/l the stadock thingie to find out myself till i get home. Btw the search button is the worst.

The Beta everyone is talking about is the beta 1.1 patch. The game as you buy it in the store is the final 1.0 release, and you can get the 1.0X patch for it or wait for 1.1 to go final next week.

1.1 has had a beta for the past few weeks because it includes lots of new things based on player feedback after the release, so it needs thorough testing to make sure the new features are as bugless as possible.
